Three Collections, One Visual Tradition

Each cover introduces a different subject, but the editions share a familiar typographic and illustrative structure: small engraved-style headings, plate numbering, softly colored subjects, and understated botanical settings. The calendar beneath each illustration is kept deliberately simple, allowing the artwork to remain the focus.
Inspired by Natural-History Illustration
The design language recalls hand-colored zoological plates of the nineteenth century. Fine crosshatching and linework, muted paper tones, specimen-style labels, and carefully observed animal forms give the contemporary illustrations the atmosphere of a historical printed collection. The images are newly developed interpretations rather than reproductions of antique originals.
Across the twelve months of each edition, the art changes with the subjects and seasons. A winter cardinal, a spring bluebird, a French Bulldog, or an autumn portrait of a black cat can become a small, changing gallery on the wall.
Birds of North America — 2027
The bird calendar celebrates a dozen familiar North American species, from the Northern Cardinal, Eastern Bluebird, and American Goldfinch to the Bald Eagle, Pileated Woodpecker, Common Raven, and Great Horned Owl. Seasonal branches and flowers introduce variation while preserving a consistent engraved-plate format.

The open calendar photographs show the artwork above the monthly dates, while the complete twelve-plate overview reveals the range of birds and botanical settings included in the edition.
Felines of North America — 2027
Twelve domestic cat types and breeds are interpreted as natural-history subjects. The collection includes the Siberian, Domestic Shorthair, Siamese, Russian Blue, Ragdoll, Bengal, Bombay, Persian, and Maine Coon, among others. Variations in stance, expression, coat, and landscape give each illustration its own character.

A black Bombay cat appears in the October calendar mockups, while a full-coated Persian introduces the November page. The overview image shows all twelve illustrated portraits.
Canines of North America — 2027
The dog edition brings together twelve distinct breeds, including the French Bulldog, Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Dachshund, Poodle, Beagle, Cane Corso, Yorkshire Terrier, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Each composition respects the recognizable proportions and personality of its breed.

The French Bulldog appears on the January spread, and the Cane Corso features in October. The full illustrated overview puts the twelve breed studies side by side.
Art to Enjoy All Year
With twelve distinct illustrations in every edition, these calendars are intended to be looked at as much as used. The wire-bound pages present a new illustration each month while keeping the date grid clear and practical for everyday reference.
Whether selected for an interior, a workspace, or as a gift, each calendar reflects the Pearl Folkworks approach to historic visual culture: recognizable subjects, considered composition, and the enduring appeal of the printed image.
