Roger Cline is a graphic design & conceptual artist that grew up in a small farming community in western Iowa. At the age of 21 Roger headed west to California to pursue his career as a graphic and web site designer. With 15 years of professional experience, Roger began CLINE&CO Design Studio which is based in the Sacramento, California area. CLINE&CO Design provides creative and conceptual graphic design and web site design solutions to a wide variety of clients.
At a very early age he was steadily influenced by his father’s inventiveness as a highly skilled metal craftsman and mother’s creativity as a commercial seamstress and craft designer. It is not a surprise when, years later we find Roger working professionally as a graphic designer, who work has been publicized on New York’s Fifth Avenue billboards, and featured in recognized magazines such as: Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Vogue, W, LightLeaks, Condé Nast Traveler, Art Review Magazine and HOW Magazine.
Roger uses tools ranging from the latest digital hardware and media to the self-built wooden medium format film cameras. He has always been fascinated by the conceptual processes exercised by many of his favorite writers. The processes developed by artists like these to advance their creative mediums are at the core of Roger’s conceptual objectives as a visual artist.
